No it means a bachelors degree or equivalent, that's a first degree and a masters is a second or further degree.

Generally this means an undergraduate level degree eg Bachelors. The normal requirement is a 2:1.

I don't think so, if they meant 1st class degree they would say so without ambiguity. They just mean a degree, rather than a higher degree.

it can mean a bachelors degree or it can mean a first depending on who asked the question. I suggest that you take it to mean bachelors degree if you have a 2nd like I did lol
