I do a lot of charity work before you answer.

Also if I had his money, I would honestly donate most of it to charity but I don't so that is not a reality, and I don't need 10 million in the bank to survive and I have lived on & under the bread line.

Hey. . . if you work your butt off and make your money you can donate as much, as little, or none at all. You have no rite to tell anybody to give anything to charity. We have too many charities in today's world. I agree with some but charities also enable people to continue to be useless lumps of crap. Charities for medical research and for medically challenge people I support. But then you look at the hunger charities in Africa. Maybe we should just go sterilize these people and be done with it. If they are dumb enough to continue to have ten children families when they can't feed one. . . well. . . . .tough shiiiit baby! Most charities. . .and if you really look at them honestly. . .are a bunch of BS. Like the charities to send a school class on a trip to europe or africa. Get serious. . pay your own damn way!!! More people need to take responsibility. . get off their dead azzzes. . . and work for what they want. That being said there are still many good charities out there.

Your dead right, I do think he is doing a great job with his promotion of third world debt and aids etc, but he has the resources to approach some of the richest people in the world. If each of these only gave one million each to this, it would create a huge amount that these countries could use to pay off the debt. I give 15 euro a week to charity(I'm on minimum wage), if I can afford this, then they should be well able to give a bit more.

it could be argued that he gives a lot of his time to highlighting and publisising the problems of poverty
it could also be argued that this brings him a vast amount of extra publisity and proberbly income for himself

i dont know the guys personal welth nor how much of his income gos to charitable causes but if he is ernest in his desire to end poverty and he is not contributing then he should
however if he has say a welth of 10 mil as you quoted are you sure that this is not 2/3 of what he has ernd with the other 1/3 having already been donated

like so many people in the publick eye he is open to critisum and screutiny and im sure he will live or die by that but i think we should ask first is what he is doing helping or hindering the plight of the worlds poor ?
if its helping then thank god for small mercies if its not well then start telling the world about it

He can do whatever he wants with his money. He's given countless amounts of time for the good cause. He can't satisfy everyone. And besides, How do you know what his personal contributions are? Why should he make that info public? He's not gonna donate 1/3 of $ just to make haters shutup. He's helped raise millions upon millions. Time is $.

I started to answer his question saying that he should donate some of his many millions to the cause instead of relying on normal people who are lucky if they can pay their rent, to hand cash over all the time (but chickened out as I thought it might be removed). Instead of tapping us for cash he should ask his famous friends to cough up. The money paid in Hollywood and the music industry is obscene and they should give large amounts of their money to the poor.

How do you know he doesn`t a lot of celebrities give money without publicising it. He also gives up a lot of his time when he could be out earning. Leave him alone he is trying to do something what about all the celebrities who are just so full of themselves and designer shopping who do not give anyuthing or do anything for charity.

Its one thing that he tries to highlight the issues but yes, he should practice what he preaches and give away some of his own money.

I volunteer too, although my volunteering helps teenagers in my country, UK. We have our own problems to sort out before we can preach to Africa. Also the answer for Africa isn't throwing money and aid at them, we need to provide the people with skills which will help them to support themselves.

yep all these celebs annoy the hell out of me, they patronise and dictate how we should all live our lives, yet they are the greediest money hungry idiots out there, why dont they take a 99% wage cut and give some money to people that realy deserve it. if every celeb gave 10% of their earnings a lot of problems could be solved.
