not interested?

They mean exactly what they say, those are moments of clarity and this is the time to believe them!!!! Example: I liked this guy who's a friend of a friend. I've never seen him when he wasn't blind drunk, he would never return my phone calls, and one night when I did go over to his house he spent the entire time trying to bone me and get me to stay the whole next day with him when I told him repeatedly I had responsibilities at home, like a dog I had to let out and feed. One night at this bar we both frequent he told me he wasn't nice and I should stay away from him--the same night, he also told me how much he liked me, only he ended up leaving with a really skank ho. Yep, he was telling the truth about not being nice. My last boyfriend told me he was boring. And he was telling the truth too. So when a guy tells you that he's not a good guy and you should stay away from him, you thank him, tell him you'll follow his advice and RUN LIKE HELL!!!

There are any number of ways to interpret a statement from a guy such as: "I am not a good guy stay away from me."

1. Take it at "face value": He's not a good guy and you should stay away from him (although he's a good enough guy to let you know that). Don't read anything else into it and consider yourself the better off for that.

2. Take it as a statement of insecurity or that he has a low self-esteem: he'd like to date you but he feels insufficient for you and so is maybe trying to fake you out so that you'll be MORE interested. This is no way to establish a healthy relationship. It will only lead to challenges down the road.

3. Take it as he is being courteous because he doesn't want to hurt your feelings by saying he's not interested. This is a bit different than being insecure. He could be quite secure and have a good enough amount of self-esteem, he just doesn't want to hurt your feelings by saying directly that he's not interested.

Whatever the reason, move on. You will find someone who's interested in you and who wants to see you and be with you.

It's guy-speak for "Yo, I watched the Breakfast Club like 10 times. that dude in the trench coat was SO cool. But I can't wear a trench coat without looking like I'm ripping off The Matrix.. and that would be really uncool. So, I figure I'll do the whole 'Dark tortured soul that doesn't know how to take down the walls and let love in' thing.... cuz I'm hoping that gets me laid since I can't afford a sports car."

Guy-speak... it's a very complicated dialect.. riddled with subtle nuances. But you'll get the hang of it eventually... usually you hit 21 and you're pretty fluent.

This saying has 2 meanings (at least that I know of)
1: he is saying I am too scared to try a relationship with you, run away now before I hurt you or
2: he is saying I screw around baby so I will end up hurting you, run away now. or
he possibly thinks he is low life scum. If he is saying stay away from me, leave him be and find someone who is interested.

It could mean that HE isn't ready for any relationships. I wouldn't pursue it.

He also may be a bit down on himself and has low self-esteem. You can be supportive and just be a kind person. (But I currently wouldn't suggest of having any agendas about becoming "more than friends".)

it usually means they're trying to act cool. stay away from them a while and observe them from a distance. if they like you they'll usually break their cool and come to speak to you. if they don't, they're not worth the effort... even if you get him, you're gonna be the one putting in all the effort in the relationship, while he's just gonna continue acting cool.
