If I discovered that I were immortal, I don't think I would ever feel like committing suicide. If those around me were not immortal, I would mourn when each dies and miss them all when all were gone. However, I would not want to join them in death, for I believe in reincarnation, and I believe that clusters of souls come back together again and again eventually, and I would feel that eventually they would come back into my life as other people.

In the meantime, I would work on making other friends, for I need other people, just as they would need me. My death would not fulfill either side of this equation, so I wouldn't consider suicide. Love would keep me from even feeling that I must leave those close to me, so I would live for them. My immortality would ensure that I am constantly in the lives of those who need me, just as I would need them. They (their souls) would go away (die) but come back as other people. I need all those people, and I would love them all.

In the end, love of everyone around me would keep me from feeling that I should kill myself. After all, isn't it all about love?

Immediately after I discover that I am immortal. But I will dump the feeling with in the next second becoz I know that I cannot kill myself even.

Immediately. I have absolutely no desire to be immortal, the thought of spending endless years trying to figure out life is a personal nightmare of mine.
On top of that, I'm a thrill seeker, so even knowing it was impossible to kill myself I'd try various methods just to see what they felt like.

What difference would it make? If you were immortal, suicide wouldn't work!

well...it depends on the age i was immortalise...
1) young kid - i'd be playing ps1, ps2 and ps3 and XBOX all my life
(so no suicide is needed)
2) teenager - i'd be drunk and having wild sex and spreading HIV to everyone all over the world (no suicide just genocide)
3) mature - travel the world and never come back ! (no suicide too)
4) old man - drop dead at that very moment

If you discovered that you were immortal, the wisdom attained due to your teachings wouldn't allow for such thoughts and/or actions. So you would age gracefully. -i think.
