Xbox 360 and Wii will beat the Play station 3. Nintendo has always been best in originality and Xbox 360 has Halo and fantanstic graphics. As for playstation, Sony likes to copy from other consoles. They copied the interactivity for the controller from the Wii and the Online play from Xbox 360.

Well anyone one who chooses one as the better console is WRONG ok, WRONG. Its a wrong conclusion based on the fact they own that specific console and solely choose it for that reason. Fanboyism? Indeed.
Anyway the answer, there is no better console, its all about personal preference and what games appeals most to you, that is whats important at the end of the day, the games and both consoles have great games. I must say though that the Xbox leans more towards first person shooter games and the Playstation 2 holds good ground on the RPGs amoung others.
One undoubtful factor, the Xbox controller is the best on any console to date (excluding 360 lol) and lasts a lot longer than the Playstations, which I have gone through countless numbers of myself.
So your answer, there isnt one, its about what games you like which you forgot to mention.
I have both Xbox and Playstation consoles, hope it helped a little :-P

I think that the Playstation is better. However, if you're going to get a console, I totally recommend that you buy the PS3 at Christmas. It will set you back around 500 pound but I totally think it's worth it. You move the controller left and right and that is the direction that you will move on the game. Maybe you shoudl have a feel for the different type of controllers because I know alot of people who prefer the Playstation controller to the XBox controller. But also if you have a budget, have a look at what games are cheaper.

Opinions are all good but it's just plain FACT the PS3 is going to kill the 360. I know this isn't going to change your mind and you probably don't believe me but I look at the console wars from all sides.
The testing at E3 proved this and the PS3 wasn't even finished.
Microsoft can't put out an OS that doesn't have gaping holes in it, how can we trust them with consoles?
Xboy1993- Sony couldn't have copied the 360 as the PS3 controller is a wireless version of the one found on PS2. So unless they have a time machine.......

your not really gonna get a honest straight forward answer. but i will try my best. i kinda have love for both machines. the xbox has alot of variety when it comes to fps games, but the playstation has alot of the rpgs. mind you the graphics are way better on the xbox. i dont really have a fav between the xbox and the ps2. mostly because either has a little of both of what i want. but if you were talking about the psx then well that machine even now is 1 million times more addictive then these new high tech grahics enhanced digital sound games. they put alot of voice acting and fmv into them. but for the most part the fun factor and the replay value just dosnt seem to be there anymore.

X-box 360 is far better value for money. What other console do you have the fun of hours of downloading patches to get your old favourite games to work and when you finally get it all installed, it bursts into flames... A definatel bonus in the winter as it will cut down on your heating bills!!!!

playsatation is thge best has been for years, more people have playstations than xbox. honestly though xbox is better, i ahd a playstation 1 and 2 but when i converted to xbox i was happy with the experience the games were different and fun. xbox is better, the one annoying thing is you have to buy something to play dvds on xbox. but xbox is much better especially 360.
