To be honest no the radio is where the music is heard first for the most part, before we ever see the performers. When the song is a good it will continue to be regardless of the physical appearance of the people. I love the Bare Naked Ladies and they are just average looking guys with above average talent. Hope that helps ~A~
PS that does not mean if they happen to be great looking that I won't notice, I notice! That guy from Nickel back has nice hair

Its the music that matter not their appearance. The only time when physical appearance seems to matter is in these manufactured bands when they have to have a type of look/style which makes people who like them cos they all good looking. If people are more interested in what the band members look like rather than the music they play than theses people are shallow.

Not at all...unfortunately, it is music VIDEO that seems to
determine whether people buy albums these days. Many buy it
because it had a great clip, with the music reduced to barely a
soundtrack.
Back in the day, before video clips, only the radio could bring you
the music and the music would stand or fall on how good or bad
it was. No props, no "clips", no cross promotion for fast food or
soft drinks or cars.
Simpler times for musicians and those who love music.
Good Luck

No way. I hate a lot of emo bands out there even though they are usually fronted by a cute guy with long hair. It's about the MUSIC, not the appearance of the people making it.

Only if they dress up in ridiculous costumes, for example, Slipnot.
I think if a band feels the need to wear outrageous costumes to entertain you, then the music must be garbage. The wear the costumes to compensate for the fact that their music sucks.

Very intelligent question !I think in my case it really does. Especially since the video clip age came down. Nowadays music is a whole package: Looks -gimmick - attitude -clothing - trend and don't forget music also. LOL Video killed the radio Star!

Who bloody CARES what they look like if their music is good. And what's the point in listening to their music if they are good looking but have no talent.
It should be your ears that decide what sounds good, not your eyes.
You wouldn't use your ears to find out if a painting is any good so why would you use your eyes to find out if a song is good?
Unless you're a shallow moron who listens to greenday or other sh!t like that, of course.

Of course it does....
As you know.....
some singers in the asia use animation before they really launch....
And trully some of them couldn't last long because their appearance unlike those superstars....
i think it quite broken their heart.....
As first,by using the animation....all the fans support they because they use to think that they are very handsome or pretty in person. But as time grows longer, they need to launch their really look..... Last, their fans getting bored, because its below their standard....
Its just like you found $1000 and just when you pick it up, the police is behind you.

doesn't effect the music, just need to use animation or expensive models in film clips, but if the music is right it doesn't make a difference.
