Find out what he likes - like, football, or books, or whatever, and find a jigsaw puzzle on the subject, medium-sized. Not a big big present, but most children pass through a puzzle stage, and it's alway fun to fit one out, when one has the time to do that.

I would give stuff like nice necklace made in hemp you cna do it yourself! my husband went crazy when i gave him one cause h never had any jewellery giving to him by a girl! he tought it was so sweet...
