Have pal who's a Tanker motive force - he tells me that the petrol and diesel provided to Tesco, Asda and Sainsburys is of an inferior grade to others provided to Esso and BP 9 do not have any favor to doubt his note ). Esso and BP have aspects which save the engine sparkling - the different do not. 5 years in the past had same situation as you. Took my receipt back to tesco as continually offered my diesel from them. They paid for upkeep, vehicle employ and gas tank of diesel. Tesco don't like undesirable publicity so with any success your situation will be taken care of out. e mail them daily wanting a right away reaction . good success

almost any old rubbish will run in diesel unless it has water in it, even be careful filling up in the rain or when the garage tanks were filled by the tanker. Try running it close to empty and then try BP ultimate diesel or the shell equivalent and see if you can tell the difference, I get around 7 mpg more over supermarket diesel but then it does cost more to buy

Doesn't matter where you get your diesel, I work at a refinery and see all sorts of tankers coming in to fill up - Morrissons & Tescos to name a couple. They all fill up using the same equipment, so unless it's "superdiesel", its all the same.
