and every type of file can be downloaded to me
(including viruses)
so explain with a little more detail

Do you have admin. rights? Try downloading a update for your networking browser. And are you using a Commadore 64, Because I don't know.

Maybe you are downloading a program that has to be opened/installed before you can use it.

on the internet home page... go to : tools, internet options, advanced, restore defaults. good luck.... you may need to change your cookie allow settings too...
