People like Green Day so much because they have been around since the 1980s and have had tons of albums. Green Day has a passion for music and us girls have a passion for Billie Jo Armstrong! All of the band members are cute. Billie Jo Armstrong (vocals/Guitar) Tre Cool (Bass/Vocals) Mike Drint (Drums/Vocals) Green Day will always be known throughout the world. 100 years from now people will probaly still be jammin away to whatever we will be driving on the road.

people may like/dislike a certain band for various reasons, but green day doesn't try to do things that would make them hated by others. also their music appeals to a more variety of people. most of people can casually listen to their music with no complains.

I myself do not like them. But people probably find their tunes catchy, and likeable. Something they can perhaps relate to or something. But it would be the same as asking you why you like something so much.
