in 1998 STOMPS ON A SAUDI ARABIAN'S LEG

IN 2001 HEADBUTTS A GUY FROM HAMBURG WHILE PLAYING FOR JUVENTUS IN THE 2001 EURO CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS????

AND NOW THIS???

IT MAKES MY STOMACH CHURN THAT YOU SERIOUSLY OVERLOOK THIS STUFF...

HE SCORED 3 GOALS AND 2 WERE ON PKS..AND ONE OF THOSE PKS WERE FROM A BOGUS CALL AS MALOUDA DOVE...I TIVO'D THAT DIVE MORE THAN 100 TIMES...MATERAZZI NEVER TOUCHED MALOUDA..EVER!!!

HOW CAN YOU KEEP THIS REPUTATION..IF IT WERE ANY OTHER PLAYER...YOU WOULD HAVE LYNCHED HIM..ESPECIALLY IF THEY CAME FROM BRASIL...WHICH IS IRONIC BECAUSE BRASIL GOT AN AWARD SHARED WITH SPAIN FOR LEAST AMOUNT OF PENALTIES...

BUT THIS GUY YOU LOVE...EVEN WHEN RONALDO'S 15 GOALS AND BRASIL'S 5 STARS SPEAK SO MANY MORE VOLUMES..NEVERMIND THAT RONALDO'S 3 GOALS WERE NOT PKS...THEY WERE LEGITIMATE...

Everything you say is right. You answered my question too and I had no problems choosing yours as the best answer. Everyone seems to think that BEING Zinedine Zidane is grounds for justification in the matter. Its not like it was an isolated incident. He's reacted like a nutcase on prior occasions. I give him credit for handling the soccer ball the way he does but its time to accept the fact that his reaction was a result of mere stupidity and that France's loss has nothing to do with the loss of their Captain, the player that missed theb all is one of France's best and he would've still taken a kick. the main thing is that Italy managed to keep France from scoring, they came back from an unfairly awarded penalty kick and they managed to score 5 penalty kicks that would have been unnecessary if Luca Toni's goal was counted since it wasn't offside (which is why they're not showing replays of it). Italy won and France didn't. Stop shifting the attention from THAT to how bad of a guy Materazzi is.

Zidane may have a temper, but it doesn't make him less of a player. Most times he manages to keep his temper under firm control. I think he's a level-headed player with a lot of skills.

Until we know what Materazzi told him, let's not judge.

Roger that boss! Your observations and concerns are well routed. Zidaine is a smart player with the ability to pass the ball to the striker with immaculate efficiency, akin to Ronaldinho etc. However, he sacrificed his country's pride many a times...and yesterday was another such stupid error.
