My bf and I are going to start looking, but have no idea where to start. I know pawn shops have great deals.. but not warranties. Are there any sites online that you can recommend? Or any store like Kays, Zales etc?

Also, what CT should I get? I have small hands but don't want a small rock.

My girlfriend found her wedding ring/engagment ring set at a pawn shop. It looks really cute. She's really into estate jewellery and you can't find filligree work anymore like you can at a pawn shop.

I found the best prices where at Jared's Galleria of Jewellery. Check and see if you have one where you are. Where I live, NE Ohio, Jared's owns Kay's, Zales, and JB Robinson. Those are the three biggest! So, the same rings at those three were over priced. Where Jareds could offer a deal because they were the supplier of those stores.

My engagment is 3/4 CT. It's perfect. It isn't too big and isn't too small. The emerald cut makes that same carat look bigger, imo. My cut is princess because I like the sparkle. We could have bought a bigger carat but hubby insisted it be flawless...like his love for me. lol. ah, those were the days! ;)

Argos in the UK. They will send to the States or anywhere. They're a very well known and respected shop. I got my wife a quarter carrot diamond [pretty big and beautiful] for 200 pounds. [about 360 dollars.]. Good luck, honey. Don't get from a pawn shop, that would be bying someone's shattered dream. I did that when I had no cash and we lost the ring. Well it was my fault. Well, we had no food. Anyhows as soon as I could I bought my wife a lovely ring straight from a store. She still has it 3 years on; it's one of her most prized possessions.

Don't buy from pawn shops they have very bad quality stones -
do go on line and buy Bluenile.com
but first try and understand what you are looking for

you can buy the stone and then get it set at a goldsmith

walmart....again....walmart, they have some of the most gorgeous wedding sets...priced under $300. but watch out for the keepsake rings, a bit pricey and a ring i bought, the diamond was cracked.
