E-mail abbreviation is like what our stenographers used to use in typewriter days - SHORTHAND (still under use).
However the difference is Shorthand has some specific guidelines where e-mail abbreviations are made purely on individual imagination.
If your imagination matches with the other person's you can obviously use. But use among friends only.
In official and business related e-mails its not advisable to use those abbreviation.
