well, it a math course that focus on logic and some theories of programing concepts
as i know, you will study some programming concepts like recursion and how dose that work, and proves some theories, but nothing serious in term of usage of math
some college algebra will be enough, plus some basic programming
its way easier than calc 2 and 3
its really a computer science class, will will help you in later theory classes in that field

You will learn different math than in differential and integral calculus courses. Discrete math deals with things like mathematical induction, probabilities, pigeon hole theory, graph theory, predicate calculus, recurrence relations...
A lot of really FUN math!

(depending on what school) you will learn proof structure, truth tables, number systems, methods of proof, and many other basic ideas that will be used your other upper division math classes. it is a very good idea to take this class before any other proof oriented class.
