Your question should be how many days after fertilization does the egg implant? It takes 6 to 12 days for the fertilized egg to travel to the uterus and implant itself. Women usually ovulate 14 days after the start of their period and an egg is only viable for 24 hours. So within that 24 hours the egg must be fertilized, then it takes 6 to 12 days to implant or it degrades and the body releases it.

It takes 6-12 days after ovulation (and fertilization, obviously) until the fertilized egg reaches the uterus and starts implanting (see sources section below). Read _Taking Charge of Your Fertility_ for details on this and many other questions.

It takes *at least* 2 more days before there is enough HCG (hormone detected by pregnancy tests) in your blood to spill over into your urine; some women *don't* have the spill-over until they are several *months* pregnant and will always get a negative urine test.

And, *of course* it is related to ovulation!! If there's no egg, what does that person think is going to get fertilized and implant?!

It usually takes between 4- 12 days, with 80 % of all women having implantation between days 8- 10.
If this has something to do with you wondering when to take a pregnancy test, please know that it takes about 2-3 days after implantation for ur body to begin producing detectable quantities of hcg ( the pregnancy hormone ).
Doctors keep saying ( yeah, its easy for them, they dont have to wait in agony :) that taking a pregnancy test ( even an early pregnancy test ) is pointless before you actually miss a period at least by a day.
Good luck !

theory occurs in the present day of fertilization. yet implantation occurs at a minimum of 6 days after theory, yet maximum commonly 10-12 days afterwards. A blood try can locate being pregnant once implantation occurs, and a urine try commonly once you're late on your era.
