mRNA - Messenger RNA is synthesized from DNA. It attaches to ribosomes in the cytoplasm and directs the primary structure of protiens made at the ribosomes.

rRNA - Ribosomal RNA serves as the structure for ribosomes along with protiens. Ribosomes serve as the coordination point for mRNA codons with tRNA molecules to form new proteins.

tRNA - Transfer RNA picks up specific amino acids, and depositing them in the appropriate place as directed by the mRNA. Kind of like a translator between DNA and protein language.
