If the referees red carded every slur, every insult, everything said that's a bit derogatory on the field....there wouldn't be any players left to play on either team!

It's a given that players will throw insults back and forth, slurs and comments flying like feathers at a chicken plucking factory. Those are things that will get ire up, will let tempers flare...but ONLY if you've no control. Zidane felt whatever was said, if anything was (we have NO proof either way) warranted a head butt to the chest....what a way to end a career! A little more patience, and the ability to walk away was the best thing he could have done....but he didn't, and now his last match ended in the locker room, while all his teammates were still on the pitch playing their hearts out.

How very sad....and what a very unsportsmanlike attitude to show the world, and the world's children!

Because Lisa is a s_ut! Saying Italians are thiefs. And just what do women know about football? That should be the question here.

Zidane is a low class rags to riches story if he was the world class
player as people say..he would have known how to behave. Also
just like Lisa, Zidane was selfish , totally selfish. France will love to hate him for eternity. Zidane, not my cup of espresso.. Italian footballers are the best in the second to Brasil maybe.. France no.

You are incredibly ignorant, the Italians did play a rough defensive game, their second goal should have counted it was obviously onsides, no matter what Mazzeratti said it does not warrant a dangerous animalistic headbutt, men say nasty things while playing sports, now Zidane has been guilty of this in the past i saw clips of him head butting someone on the ground during a Juventus match(blatently so) He should be shamed as well as France for patting him on the back.
Watch what u say about Italians!!!!!!!!!!

Um...because FIFA doesn't punish rascist slurs....the real question is why Cane verro (true dog in Italian) didn't get a red card for the play that injured Zidane. It was a blatant foul with intent to injure, as was the foul that injured Henry...The italians played like thugs. Even though I am in Italy and wanted to support them, I couldn't bring myself to support a team of goons.

He didn't do anything,BUT, if I were the Ref. I would at least
give a yellow card to him, for making a struggle.
Remember Portugal-Nederlad match?
Every single person that objected would recieve a card!

In football rules, you don't get red card when someone else knock you down on the pitch with a powerfull head.

it was the last game in the world cup, if you didn't notice they let a lot of fouls go. The refs let the game be played how it should be played only calling what looked to be serious penalties..

You do not get red cards for saying something. And was all he did. I wonder what he said to Zidane...
