I have tried the veet foam and nait lotion. Neither worked very well. They just disollved part of the hair, and left enough behind that it was just like stubble. If I left it on longer, it just burnt my skin. Do the kits with the bladeless razors work better? Personal experiences?

Depilatory lotions and foam - like veet and Nair - are actually NOT as good as the ads make out. The bladeless razors do give you a little more control over things, however, they effectively do the same thing as normal razors - they cut the hair at the level of the skin, they just use creams to soften the hair to allow it to be removed without using sharp blades to cut it.

For hair removal that doesn't leave stubble, you should try waxing, epilators or laser hair removal.

Waxing is probably the easiest and most accessible. If you want to do it yourself, Nair makes a removal gel that doesn't require heat and washes off in water. There are also plenty of other do-it-yourself wax products that you can pick up at most supermarkets or pharmacies. Also, you can try your local beautician/day spa if you're a bit scared of doing it yourself and they can also do the back of your legs MUCH better than you can ever do yourself!

Epilators are a handy little toy, however they can be a bit on the painful side - they're the little machines that are like a bunch of tweezers on a roller that pull the hair out by the root. They effectively do the same thing as waxing - pulling the hair out by the root and not cutting it off at skin level.

As for laser removal... That is probably the most permanent measure, but it's also the most expensive. For an area as big as your legs, it's several hundred dollars, so it's probably not practical for that, but it's good for underarms and bikini lines and small areas like that.

Personally... I'd go for waxing. It lasts a whil, can be done at home - if you're brave enough - and it's more permanent than any form of lotion or razor.

Veet with the bladeless razor does NOT work good. I bought a new bottle and a new bladeless razor to try it out this week, and it wouldnt make all the hairs disapear. When I left it on longer it left my skin irritated and itching. Dont use it. I guess Stick to a razor, and putting lotion on after.

stick to the razor. nair irritates the skin and veet doesn't dissolve all the hair. unless you want to try waxing.... they have a kind now that supposedly just washes off, but I've never tried it or heard much about it

Veet rasera works fine on my legs, but I've never gotten any of those hair removers to work on my underarms or bikini areas. Ultimately, I've just preferred a regular razor.

I too had problems with all theses products... hated to wait for waxing, and then tried to do it at home...what a mess!!!
Go back to the razor. I use the Venus works great.
