I would give away anything that could help someone else. Material possessions are just things. I believe we cross paths with certain people at certain times for a reason and if my help can make someone's path a little easier, I'd gladly do what I can.

i gladly give away anything (not a part of my body) that is asked for but that usually gets me in trouble with my husband who likes to hang on to crap we don't need.And as long as i'm not currently using the stuff, i will give it away

It all depends... I would give probably anything that i owned, but first i would need to know that the person is one who is helping themself by working, and not just getting something for nothing.
(why support someone who has no intention on supporting themself?)

I have lots of clothes that I'm weeding through, or avoiding weeding through because I'm on Yahoo Answers! I could handle reducing that by 9/10ths.

Things I wud give away to someone needy wud be my clothes which I don't wear anymore, food items, old stuff toys, cosmetics which I no longer use............or anything which is not required for that matter.

Anything possesions are just possesions and i would gladly give anything away to somone who NEEDED it but WANTING it no way, go get your own...

Anything I can repurchase...I know it sounds selfish but when it comes down to it you would probably do the same. But if someone's life or wellbeing depended on it I would give up anything...

Food....many times
Water...many times
Blanket or Coat...once before
umbrella...twice before
Money...many times before
Anything material that would not disrupt my life such as my car that I would need to get to work or my house that I have provided for myself and my family. People can use these things but not have them. Material things can be purchased again. If someone truly needed the item, they are welcome to it.

I donate it all the time because there is such a great need for it.
I donate my ear to friends that need someone to listen to them.
I give my friendship to others...in hopes of receiving same.
