In some aspetcs it might have been better. But think of the massive amounts of technological advances the world made during WW2. If the central powers had won, it's unlikely that the second world war would have happened. This would set back the funding and development of rocketry, aircraft, cryptology, radar and sonar, ...etc ect. More disturbing would have been the new set of circumstances that the atom bomb would have first been deployed in. Without the horrors of Nagasaki and Hiroshima.. would those who had the bomb later have used it so sparingly in the first salvos? Hard to imagine.

Well, You know in WW 1 there were no bad guys. It was caused by a misunderstanding and the pathetic alliance system. The Allies don't rule Europe, and didn't then. Is what would have happened is this:
The Triple Entente would be worn thin on supplies. England and France would collapse economically. Russia would be in Revolution and very vulnerable. WW 2 would start in the 40s as in reality because the Allies need supplies. Chances are some captured territory would be returned, but not all at the end of a Central Powers Victory WW 1.

I'm not sure either way but it sounds like a good idea for a book. You should read The Southern Victory Series by Harry Turtledove. It's what happens if the Confederates achieve independence.
