if im 50% effected thinned out not dialted how long would it stay this way till i made further progress?

I'll assume this is your first pregnancy. You could stay this way until the day you go into labor. Most women with their first baby are about 1 inch dilated the week they go into labor. Have sex, seriously, the prostaglandins in semen soften your cervix. It might not make the birthday come any sooner but it might shorten your labor. With my first child I was 1 inch dilated 2 weeks after my due date when I went in to be induced. My second child I was 3 cm. dilated and 90% effaced for the last two months of my pregnancy and I still went past my due date. You just never know with babies.

It could be days and it could be weeks.There are no rules when it comes to that.
By all means, you should be under doctor's observation and if you experience any cramping ( contractions ) or bleeding, do let ur doctor know immediately.

could be ages yet. keep walking as much as you can, try sex, hot curry, hot bath, reflexology.
