Italy deserved it. Italy will now prepare to to capture another world cup victory 12 years. USA in the meantime will have to wait for another four years only to be beaten again.

No I'm not happy :D
The Italians have the best defence in the world cup - hats off to them for that, but I just don't think a world championship should be coming down to penalties.
I don't think they were the better team in the final - France had so much attacking play even after Zidane was sent off.
But, it's the way the cookie crumbles - even Lippi said that Penalty Shootouts are lotteries.

U BET....defeating France was the motive...but i think they should have won it without goin into the penalty shootouts...anyways who cares....history remembers the winners!!!! Kudos ITALIA

yer i am very happy they won and i am an england fan but soooooo glad for italy. they really deserved it even though france played much better.
