I've just googled Maradona, and seen clips of him at Barca, he was amazing, I always thought he flopped there, which is why he left for Italy. Does anyone know why he had such a brief stint, before joining a small side like Napoli, although he bought them success, they were tiny when they signed him. Maffia? it's a strange CV for the greatest player int he world ever

Maradona was Kicked out of Spanish Football Literally, Football in Spain at that time was a brutal game and a little Foreigner coming over and taking the Spanish game by storm just was'nt tolerated, He was a marked man, and after one Career threatening Injury (A leg breaking tackle that the offender never even got booked for) later, Maradona decided it was time for him to move on.
There is no evidence that the people in charge at Barca had discovered Maradona's Drug use but It was while in Spain that his Drug taking started.

I really don't know but I know that he had an injury that lasted like 7 months, and then he couldnn't find his level again for a time, and Barcelona had paid quite a lot for him. Another reason could be that as he himself admitted, in spain is were he started with his addiction with cocaine while he was at Barcelona, so maybe the ones of Barcelona knew that, and wanted to get rid of him before getting into trouble.
But overall, Barcelona commonly gets rid of important players maybe because it can't find a right place for them in the team, the same happened to Saviola, Riquelme, Sonny Anderson, Rivaldo, Ronaldo.

The idea expressed by employing Rohin that he became bought simply by him being 'fat' and 'previous', simply by a clinical situation, is a daft one. He became on the height of his career, had purely had between the awesome seasons by employing any footballer in a era, and destiny injuries aside, became probably on the right song to change into the awesome participant of all time. His sale became completely financially inspired, and Barcelona positively regretted the alternative to promote him for decades later on.
