Manga is known for rugged, street style art and storytelling, where else are you going to get a market as rugged and street style as a country like India. If you read a lot of Manga it shows harsh realities of japanese society, indians would relate to similar stories in my opinion.

Well, I don't think so because the art, topics, and storylines in Mangas are so far from the ones that the indians are interested about (I think)... unless of course you will be distributing india related manga comics or carefully select titles that they can relate on... I think you need more in depth research on this if you are serious about getting into the Comic business in India...

Besides, are the indians known for appreciating this kind of literature?

If someone in India adopted the Manga style of art to stories that Indians Would relate to, you could have a cash cow on your hands (pun intended). Thing is, they would have to be mainly Indian-centric, with Indian characters and cultural plot-lines they would read. They don't seem very interested in foreign genres.

Yes, I think so. The Manga Comic characters are visible on the TV channels. Children now relate to them and the books would surely be accepted.

Thanks
