Michael Ballack is not married to Simone, she is his girlfriend. All of their three children are from both of them.

He has not been married before, all of his kids are with Simone.

In Germany, it's pretty common to live together as girlfriend / boyfriend even after you have kids, a lot of Germans just don't get married.
