Wish there were cures, I think most of it comes down to shutting your brain down at certain times and relaxing without noise.
When the brain keeps working the body doesn't rest. However I have tried the vinegar and vanilla extract bath and that helps. The other is the sleep eaze bath that helps after soaking in the bath for 20 min. You can get it at any Walmart stores.
I think the warm water shuts the thought signals and the brain relaxes. I usually listen to really soft music and light a candle also.
Sleep well.

I have a foolproof way of curing insomnia. Stay up another 24 hours. You'll be ready for sleep the next day. I promise.

i have struggled with insomnia most of my life. i go through periods when i only sleep about 3 hours a night if at all. my daughter is the same way, even when she was a baby she never took a nap, and would stay up late with me. i wish i knew a cure that wasn't drug induced.

I was getting about 15 hours sleep a week for years. Then I went on Prozac and the problem disappeared in a couple of weeks. I have been sleeping well now for 10 years

hmmm. I used to have trouble with this. What works for me is setting up a playlist of the softest songs I can find. Start with the volume at a normal level, then gradually lower it until you just fall asleep. don't worry about the battery or anything else. actually listen to the lyrics so that your mind can focus on something abstract and become mentally fatigued. hopefully it'll work!

No, I'm really having a prob with that too. I bought some melatonin, took 3, and it made me drowsey, but wore off in about an hour.

It's working for me...it's not even 10:00p.m., but I can't keep my eyes open already. Reading a book is very good also.
Good night everyone .....Aloha.
