I am pissed. It is over a billion a day we spend over there out of our pockets. Do we pay more per day for the soldiers and equipment and all the goodies in Iraq than people pay in taxes per day (mostly income tax I'm referring to) here in the states?

You may be right, but you are ignoring even the worst part.
The people who are being killed every day due to this War-on-Terror.
May it be innocent American soldiers or Iraqi civilians. Look at the plight of those civilians who are not much concerned with the policies of their Government. They have no means to live as well as no reason to die. But US soldiers, under the orders of their Commander-in -Chief, are playing havoc in Iraq.
USA has all the good reasons on earth to pull back from Iraq as soon as possible.
Taxes or no taxes, the killing must stop. You can recoup the lost taxes but not the human life.

How do you think we got to a record deficit? By spending more money than we are taking in. You can thank Bush for increasing spending and cutting taxes at the same time. Brilliant move. The last time the deficit was close to this bad was during WWII.
