These days most women wear what's comfortable to them and since a large scale are now career oriented, wearing a dress and going places and commuting may not be that practical. However, a lot of women still wear dresses suring special occassions.

In this month's issue of Lucky magazine the Editor talks about living out of a hotel for a time period and having to pare down her closet as much as possible, and she learned to really embrace her dress collection because dresses are "no-brainers," to put on. Often I don't feel like dealing with hosiery and/or heels. In general, if men are in suits, you'll find women in dresses.

Women don't wear dresses very often any more because not enough men take them anywhere special/nice enough to wear a dress...

in the small town I come from , I see a lot of women still wearing dresses for any ol occasion. If it is hot out ,you'll see young ladies with their mini skirts/skorts .Or the middle aged lady in a sundress/jean jumper.
So yes if we feel like wearing a dress rain or shine ,who's to tell us not to..

I do; especially in the summer as they are cooler than pants. Also, if I am going out dancing, I would much prefer to wear a short, sexy dress than pants.:)

Unfortunately, no where near as often as I would like. The style of today is so casual for women. This casual style of today, perhaps is comfortable for most women, however, not visually pleasing to us guys.
