Hi, Depends what ham antenna you are installing, Local regulations will apply but generally you cannot put it above the roofline without permission. RF emmisions also will govern where the installation would be suitable without cuasing interference. Check with the local council/governing authority. Check out your local ham club for good advice.

Your local council will tell you the rules and regulations regarding radio antenna, and oh yes YOU WILL need planning permission.
