We'll still have oil, but it will be far too expensive to burn as fuel. Oil will still be used for the maintenance of machines (and I'd guess there'd be a significant improvement in synthetic and recycled oils). Instead, we'll probably use biomass, nuclear, coal and solar as fuels.

Much better off, without oil related polutions. There're so much substitute energies that we are not use and/or under utilise. We do not have to rely on the fossil fuel at all, just got struck on this oil/petro related economy!!

If the supply dried up instantaneously, it would be devestating for all modern societies. But if we knew it would run out in say 10-15 years, we would adapt to non-oil based fuels.

Not much different, only more polluted (coal is dirtier than oil) and with more expensive gasoline (it's much more expensive to make gasoline out of coal and shale).

Pretty bad at first. We use it to drive, deliver goods (including food to grocery stores), & some areas need it for electricity.
