How do you make tea? Would you take tea bag and put the herbs in the tea bag then steep, or put it in the bottom of the pot if i do not have a tea pot? What if instead of herbs, the recipe calls for all spices/seasonings.... here it is:

A good healing tea is made from a pinch of peppermint, a pinch of ginger and either a pinch of clove powder or 2 bruised cloves, add 1 cup of hot water and steep.

Proper method for brewing tea:Water must be boiling hot to prepare good tea>tea bag or tea leaves should not be soaked for more than 3-5 minutes or the tannin would leach out whereby you get the woody or tart taste.Only after you have remove the tea leaf then you add on the other ingredients.
As a general guideline a big spoonful of teas for a big mug of water and use a hot porcelain pot.preheat by swirling it with hot water.Water to be remove from stove the moment the first few bubbles appeared

If the tea is made from green leafs I prefer to put them in a glass jar and then pore hot water on it close the jar with a tight fitting lid Wait 10 to 15 minutes or until is cold and then is ready this because the flavor of some teas comes from volatile oils that evaporate if left uncover also some of the medicinal properties of it also are lost

look for a cup that'll make your life easier. I dont know what its called but i have one. It is a normal mug with an extension like a miniture sieve that you put the herbs in, with a cap that fits over the sieve to allow the herbs to draw... it works
