I was having migraine problems for awhile. My eye doctor suggested that when I first felt one coming on to drink a can of regular Coke right away. I did it a couple of times, and it made the migraine stop. Funny -- I just realized I haven't had a migraine since graduating from college. Maybe it was stress?

I suffer from Chronic Pain Syndrom and am on Morphine syrup and injections, I also get Migraines, narcotic meds are not the answer for migraines, I don't know where you are from but here in Australia there's a drug called Largactil, I swear within 20 minutes the migraine is gone, I've heard it is an anti psychotic, how it works is opening the blood vessles in your menengies (paper thin layer around the brain) which stops the throbbing, pumping feeling of the traditional migraine, I have had migraines for over 25 years, and I've tried nearly every thing all the other people who have answered have suggested, talk to your Dr, I promise it will give you relief....it also stops the nausea

You should always see your doctor for migraines to rule out any problems before trying any treatment . Migraines are vascular in nature, meaning: having to do with the blood vessels. Therefore, you want to reduce the blood flow to the head. In a dark, quiet room soak your feet in a pan of moderately hot water being very careful not to scald yourself (the water should be like hot bathwater). At the same time, place a cold washrag on your forehead or the back of your neck. It is good to have someone to help you refresh the foot bath and cold washrag when needed. Try to rest and relax while doing this. I hope you find some relief. This usually helps me when I have a migraine. God Bless!

I suffered from alot of health issues, including migraines until about 8 months ago. I began drinking Xango and now don't take any meds and no longer suffer from migraines!
It has xanthones which are natural super anti inflammatories and natural super anti oxidants.
I recommend this with all of my heart...it gave my kids their mother back and me my life back!
Feel free to contact me.

laying down in a very dark, quiet room with a cool washcloth on your forehead helps the best. but if you're in a situation where you are unable to do this-drink something with caffeine in it. caffeine increases the heart rate and raises blood pressure which opens up the blood vessels in the body, allowing for more blood flow to the brain which helps stop the headache.

i get migraines about twice a month and they are pretty severe-i get major pain, sensitivity to light/sound and nausea. i take imitrex right when the headache starts. it makes me really sleepy and when i wake up the headache is gone.

if you get them on a regular basis like i do, it's best to talk to you doctor about getting medication for them. you can take pills right when the headache starts or take one daily to prevent the headaches from coming on at all.

After sufferin terrible migranes for years, countless MRI's, not responding to every medicine known to man, (including demerol and Morphine) I have found that one small hit of marijuana will take my headache away INSTANTLY. I dont use recreationally. I always thought medical marijuana was a bunch of crap until...... I am so greatful, because it has no side eefects that even come close to all the prescription drugs Ive tried over the years.

my doctor recommanded me to take a combination of.. xenobid, vasograin and stemetil. and you know it really worked.. and go for your ear checkup too.. so many times you have a headache which behave like migraine because of the swelling in the ear..

Rest helps a lot, espeically if you can lay down in a dim or dark room. A gentle neck or forehead massage may help, too.
