Would you rather go to a college where they provide an excellent academic program of which you're interested in, or would you rather go to a well known, highly rated school just for the sake of bragging to people that you went there and major in something that you're not going to use?

Currently I'm attending a college from the first choice. I'm asking this question to help point out to my friend that if she goes to an expensive, well known school, it doesn't always mean that it will guarantee a good future.

I would go to the place that provided the academic program of which I am interested in. I don't feel that I would go to a school just so I could brag that I attend a certain school. Not to mention, I would not put as much effort in something that I am not interested in.

Undergrad, go to a well respected school where you are comfortable. Save the Harvards and MITs for graduate school. Of course I am speaking of the average student. Each case will be differ based on the individual.

Unless if very rich the second choose will be a waste of time and money. So the hell with that. Just going to a college/university is still pretty good.

Academic program, I have to be pleased with myself before trying to please others.
