Make sure you are fun and make a good impression on the parents and kids. If the kids like you, the parents will too. Be mature with the parents and let em know that you will be great at the job!! Talk to the parents, shake their hand and look them in the eye.
Good LUcK!!! you will do great

appearance is a huge thing, look presentable and ask a lot of questions about the child and their rules for tv/snacks/ect. Parents like it when the babysitter is responsible, so be on time and whatever you do dont make it seem like you're doing it for the money. Make it fun for the kid because if its just the same thing they do with their parents then they wont really have fun, take them to the park or outside. Parents dont want their kids just inside watching movies. earn your money, make sure the child feels secure and is happy always check their diaper every hour and change it before the parents come home. try to get the child to bed if the parents are coming home late.
good luck, hope i was a help

Get numbers! Parent's cell, work, and pediatrician's. Make sure you know where the medicine cabinet is, ask Mom about any special stuff you can do to calm the kid down when they're upset, knokw what they've already eaten so that if they end up wanting a fruit roll up (just an example) you won't give them a second one. I'm sure the parent will fill you in on how things are done, as will the kid through expereince. :)

keep all medicine, sharp objects and small parts out of reach of children. they tend to put everything in their mouth. move the furniture and turn on the music. give the babies toys to play. keep an eye on them. give food as instructed. dont leave the baby for a minute, even when you go to the loo, take him with you. keep all emergency no. handy. have fun.

Just stay calm, and plan as many activities as you can, something that will make the kids tired so they can go to sleep! Good Luck
