Most likely, it is not. At least not for going backwards through time. Going forwards wouldn't be as hard. A successful cryogenics program would achieve that purpose. Or they could invent some sort of contraption that takes advantage of that whole Einstein-Speed of Light time distortion thing, whereby they speed you up to the speed of light and time passes more quickly for you; though I'm not entirely convinced that it's real.
One solution for going backwards in time would be to use the Einstein-Speed of Light thing I mentioned, if the expanding-contracting universe thing is real (whereby the universe expands until it finally pops and then all time is reversed in the contraction until it starts over). And so if you could somehow remove yourself from that process with the Speed-of-Light trick, you could eventually pick where you wanted to be on the re-expanding timeline; thus traveling through time.
But that's a lot of if's and the theory is far from solid. And the reality of it is even further away. Overall, I think that time-travel as it's normally understood is entirely impossible. As another answerer said, time is just the way that we count the days of our existence and isn't an actual thing that can be moved backwards through. It's just a manmade construct to help our brains categorize the events that are happening around us.

it is possible in theory. But in practice it might not be... for example we know time does exist, the faster something goes time slows down for that object. though to time travel... in a way it might be possible if you were to travel as fast as light for several years, to you it might only seem like a couple of days when in fact years have past. But to actually travel back or forward in time in an instant is very very unlikely.
Also the theory in which black holes can make objects time travel has never been proven... all the evidence shows is that a black hole is just the smallest point in which matter can become a singularity. Even if one could make some sort of spaceship to withstand a blackholes gravity, all space within the shuttle would be instantly gone, and you would be dead before you knew it.

No, and no. Time travel is physically possible, but the key to time travel is within black holes, the force of which is impossible for us to match. We would have to create a spacecraft powerful enough to withstand the force within one. Physically, it is possible, but we will not develop the technology because it is milleniums away, and humanity will not last that long before theocracy is restored. God certainly won't allow pursuit of time travel. Therefore, that also means that there are no individuals from the future. As time is not an object, if a person were to travel into the past, they would be missing in their present time.

It may be possible now. There is a far out belief that when you dream you leave the normal time/space realm that we are used to. Ever had a dream that came true? I dont mean something dumb like you dreamed you drank water in the desert...and then in real life you beceme thirsty in a desert.
I mean did you have a specific dream and it happened later in real life? Well, there are those who say that your mind actually went to the future and saw the event while your body was here asleep.
If thats possible, we just need to know how to do it when awake and BAM...were there.

well, it is possible, we just dont have a means to do it... tho, i doubt we'd use it, what, with the time paradox's and all...
