Should I get divorce with my wife? She cannot stand me and I cannot stand her. It would be easier if we were two people, but we have a son. I feel sad that my son has to see his parents fighting. And I feel sad that my son won't have both his parents together if I got divorce with his mother. Saturday night, she was very rude and saying hurtful words to me; I took it without argue back, but afterward I felt so hurt and depressed. We could still hurt each other by mean words though we are now living separated by pacific oceans. I don't want to get back to her and she doesn't want to get back to me. I want to get a divorce, but I am so afriad that I would regret later because my son had to grow up without both parents with him. I don't know what to do is best for my son. Well, I should put it this way: the best one is my son having loving parents and the worst on is having terrible parents or not parents. I want the best for him, but I don't think I can. And I feel very sad.

Thank you all for your precious thoughts and suggestions. I have to take time to think about it more and perhaps discuss it with my wife when she calm down. I know for sure, I want the best for my son.

sweetie, divorce is so ugly, and frightening, BUT you must protect your baby boy! i survived it, i have no doubt that you will.. it's the most important thing to remember- you are teaching your son how to live and love everyday of his life, dont let him down. would you want to watch him live this way as an adult? teach him that love is sacred, and that you do not stay in an ugly situation that will not improve. teach him that you love yourself and esp. him by creating a safe, happy life. teach him respect by never-ever failing to encourage him to take chances when it comes to bettering himself, and by example! he will understand when he is an adult, and very well may even thank you for taking action on this. my children had a hard time understanding how mommy and daddy are no longer in the same house, but kids are brilliant, and they are so much happier w/out the mess of fights and yelling. they catch on, and they believe that you as teh parent are there to take care of them and keep them protected. if you and your wife can remain civil for his sake, and esp to him and about each other, he will be so better off than to see and hear all the fighting and tension.. he doesnt deserve to be left in the middle of this. neither do you or your wife. please try to make it easy on him, and never let him forget how you both love him. you will be capable of being a better parent when you are not feeling the way you have been.

Yes it will leave very bad memories on a young mind , but still for the sake of your son , should stay on and go for a professional counseling immediately without wasting any more precious time of your life . You son can tolerate anything on this earth ,but a step father or mother , he may become druggist due to depression , pl don't do this to your own loving blood .

Fighting parents are the worst parents ever. The boy will love ya'll more if you get away from each other now. He might not understand right now but he will in time. You can both still be there for him. Just not together and who knows ya'll might get along a lot better apart.

I am known to have a hurtful tounge when im mad. I still love my husband though, so now I go to counseling to work on myself. I am not always satisfied with my marriage but I work on it because I love him. The day I don't want to go home or fall out of love(if thats possible) is the day I should call it quits. I wouldnt stay married, not even for my baby because I want to teach my child self respect and respect for others and she cant learn that when you are constantly yelling at eachother.
