My husband emotionally, mentally abused me for last 5 years of marriage. I finally had it and I am divorcing him. But the more I thought about it, I realize that he was just using me for his financial needs and his abusive needs. We already divided money 50/50. But now I feel really used and abused and I want to punish him. What can I do?

He has narcissistic personality disorder, I realized. When I read the study of this disorder, it was very scary thing. I was used and abused with cruelty mentally, emotionally, sexually.

First divorce him and take his house, car, personal memorabilia, and dog. And then after that sue him for abusing you and take what's left, leaving him with nothing. You'll have the final laugh, while he's trying to get hookers.

Lady, let it go.
You should focus on the present instead of using the time you have left to create some kind of feeling that you have balanced out the past.
I am sorry that you were in this situation, but I am sure your ex husband is hardly happy either if he is a person given to this sort of behavior.
Tomorrow is another day. Tomorrow never comes however if you are living in the past. Then yesterday is all there is.
Probably the least healthful thing is for you to keep bringing to mind your unpleasant experiences by thinking about revenge.

holding on to your anger will tare you apart.
what you need is justice not revenge.
report his actions to the police, it's never too late. if you live in the UK call your local victim support who will help you get through this.
one day you will look back and realise how strong you are now.
i think you are angry with yourself too, maybe you feel you shouldn't have let him do this to you and feel the need to prove to him that your not really weak!!
you can do that by moving on, show him you can go it alone.
that will hurt him, honestly it will.
men like this believe you can't live without them and that's why they tell you horrible things to ruin your self esteem.
your already on the way up, you left him!!
that's great!!
don't end up being prosecuted for a revenge tactic, you'll make him a victim and he will have the last laugh.
good luck, hope you decide to get some support x

You really want to punish him, i mean just kick him where it hurts, twist him from limb to limb..and him regret the day he ever messed with u??? then .. Just go be happy.. stop letting him get to u , the anger ur feeling is only letting him win and letting the torment that he's caused you to continue to happen and that only fuels his power.. best u can do is just let go.. and go be happy in spite of him.. the happier u are and the better u make your life.. is going to kill him.. because if he's anything like my x bf was, he would say things like.. "no man would ever want you", "you could never make it with out me" ect.. So go show him what your made of and never let him see u sweat.. ur better then he is, dont let his anger rub off onto u, u were strong enough to leave him, your strong enough to survive him.. Best of luck.. and congrats on getting urself out of such a horrible environment i know how hard it is to leave..

Do yourself a favor and just walk away from this loser. Don't waste any more good energy or time on him. Use your energy instead to do something good and positive for yourself.
Eventually, what goes around comes around...and with any luck you'll have a ringside seat to his karmic misery when it bites him on his a**
and always remember..."living well is the best revenge."

Move on with your life and be happy. Nothing will get to him more than seeing how much better you are without him. He already wasted many years of your life, so don't let him take any more of your time.

Cut your losses. Move on both physically, financially and emotionally. Cut ties to him as soon as possible.

walk away and go on with your life!! If you do anything in retribution, so will he. Don't allow anymore trouble in your life, just free yourself from what has been, and make new for what is to be...that is always more exciting anyway! Trust me, been there, done that!
