i kno that wilis is currently unavailable and that milledge is yet to rise as a significant player in the majors but i heard on the radio that that was a possible trade (or milledge for zito) but idk. i dont think that the mets realy need nilledge bcause we hav chavez who is young and beltran and nady is doing pretty good. on the other hand do we need another pitcher if pelfrey earns a spot in the starting rotation and if bannister produces as well as he has been before his injury when he returns?

They would be NUTS if they did! Milledge is average at best. I watched him during the Red Sox-Mets inter league games. He was horrible in the field. Who in their right mind would trade a good starting pitcher for a poor rookie fielder? Not he Marlins, for sure. Willis is one of the players of that team's future.

Have to call them as I see them.

The mets will not give up Lastings Milledge. This offseason, they tried to acquire many top tier pitchers including Barry Zito, but everyone wanted Milledge in the trade. As you know the Mets did not pull the trigger then, and they won't know. They have a big enough lead in the east where the top pithcers, Pedro and Glavine, will be able to rest for the playoffs. While Willis is a great pithcer, the upside of Milledge is too great to trade away.

no and if they do ill personally kill them willis is one of my favorite players and if he gets in the hands of "the new yankees" (the money-spending mets), he may never come out. plus its a terrrible trade
