It's not the pushing out that hurts, its the constractions. These contractions dilate the cervix so that there will be place for the baby to pass, it has to dilate ten cent to push the baby out. Every time you get a contraction you feel as if your back is supporting a gigantic boulder and some people get contractions for a looong time like me...24 hours, at the end pushing the baby out becomes as easy as going to the toilet.

I have had 2 kids, both natural births. So I can honestly say that yes it does hurt. But the pain kinda melts away the minute you see your baby. I don't know how else to explain that...
It is magical. You go through this amazing physical feat to push this being out of you, and then there it is... and it is glorious... I think it is an adrenalin rush... it saves you from the pain. Then they put the baby in your arms...everything in else in the room melts away... there is just this new life and you. magical

Ever had a stomachache that was really bad? That was not bad enough! The pain I went through will never equal anything- not even the worst case of Migraine.

They make pain medications.......and I have one and no it didn't hurt.........it wasn't what I thought it would be like, actually much easier.
