I mean, I can't believe how many people here are seriously saying "u" and "ur" and "sry" and "ppl" and "wut"... I hate being the guy saying "spell it right" but for ****'s sake, why do so many of you have such a poor grasp of the English language?

Sorry to rain on your parade, but for some ignorami, grammar is tough too. In fact, your own question is grammatically incorrect, since the word 'right' is a noun and you should be using an adverb to describe the verb "spell". This would mean your question ought to read, "Is is that hard to spell correctly?"
Equally, the word "that" in your sentence implies reference to a previous comment, which, sadly, is missing. To correct this, you would need to replace the word "that" with something like "very" or "incredibly." This would restate your question as, "Is it incredibly hard to spell correctly?"
Moreover, the vocabulary in your sentence leaves something to be desired. The word "hard" is ambiguous, since it can allude to physical durability as well as difficulty. In that sense, it would be worthwhile to disambiguate it by replacing it with a term such as "challenging" or even "difficult." This would leave your polished sentence reading, "Is it incredibly challenging to spell correctly?"
This should indicate that it is neither difficult to spell correctly, nor to use syntax well, but that many people just don't take the time or mental energy to do so.

We dont really use the english language the way we use to, it's all about slang now. And dont be so hard on people, spelling is hard for many people. it's like getting mad at someone for being poor.

I find typos much easier to live with than judgemental or rude people. BTW, there IS a language unique to the internet. Get in the know...it won't bite.

Wow, and I thought I was the only one bothered by that. The "u" thing really gets to me. I guess I'd rather see "ur," though, so I wouldn't have to cringe at the incorrect use of your / you're. I'm a sick grammar freak... sad, I know.

Because they can't read the "check spelling" sign on the upper right hand corner. Plus, they haven't passed the fifth grade yet.

most ppl jus do it cuz they like to ...in IMzzz and such i do it cuz i lyk dah way itz written. you shouldnt juj ppl cuz how they rite. ppl do diffrent dingsss. yah.... i do it only.. cuz... its fun fast and just plain uniik well WE R ALL DIFFERENT.
