What do you think the Cards chances are of winning the central? Personally, I think the Cards pitching will fix itself and the team will run away with the division around August. Also, if Brad Lidge keeps handing the Cards victories, we won't have to worry about the Astros (Example: my pic). What are your thoughts?

I think that's pretty much it in a nutshell. This weekend gave them a big confidence booster, being able to shut down Clemens, Lidge AND Oswalt all in the same game. Winning it on a Pujols dinger made it even sweeter. Molina seems to have found his swing... it would be nice if Edmonds would find his. We got rid of Ponson's dead weight, and Mulder should be back soon.

The rest of the NL Central is no threat. The trick will be getting past the Mets.

They have turned their losing streak around and now are well on their way to winning their division. And, Cardinal fans, you have little to fear from the Astros!! They were so desperate they allowed Roger Clemens to come back after playing them like a yo yo for months. AND he lost his first two starts. I mean, when you have to rely on a has been to start winning, and that has been is Roger Clemens, the drama king of baseball, you diminish your chances of winning considerably!! Cardinals all the way to the World series!!

Have to call them as I see them.

I truly think it's a coin flip. If the pitching steps up to what it should be and there are no injuries to the core we could easily win 100+ again this year. However, if the pitching stays mediocre and say another injury to pujols or rolen it will be a dogfight in the end.

The Cardinals will most likely win the division.

They can win the central, but they'll never beat the Mets in the playoffs.
