Yes, of course...didn't you know that all women who take vitamins get pregnant. That's why it is so dangerous to give vitamins to teenagers!!

Taking vitamins will *only* make *any* difference if you are malnourished in some serious way. Otherwise, your body won't absorb them--you'll have a healthier *toilet*. And if you *are* malnourished, vitamins *still* aren't likely to have much effect on fertility. Have you ever seen pictures from parts of the world that is in a constant state of famine? Guess where all those babies came from!! Their mothers got pregnant.

If a woman has been trying to get pregnant and having no luck...or if she has reason to believe that she is severely malnourished (for example, if she has used hormonal birth control in the last 2 years), then it might make a difference. Otherwise, no. And, even if it *does* help, sex is still what actually makes a baby...

prenatal vitamins are a great way to stay healthy and keep your body ready for pregnancy. some docs say to take folic acid and other vitamins that are in higher doses in prenatal's when u are in child-bearing age... if you plan on having children someday, it certainly will not hurt to begin taking them now... plus, the good stuff helps your hair and nails grow! i'm anemic, and i take an iron pill, and prenatals to keep healthy, even tho i have had a tubal to stop the possibility of another pregnancy.

I don't think that your friend knows what she is talking about. Prenatal vitamin's have higher dose of vitamines in them to help your unborn child get the best start even before it is born

no the prenatal vitamins don't help you get pregnant. they just help in preventing spina bifida for the fetus once it is conceived. my hsuband and i have been trying for a year and i started on multi-vitamins in 6 months ago and nothing has happened.
