I hated when my mom would when I was growing up and had to sit through them with her, but now I do it. Some movies not only have outtakes or extra scenes, post credits, but some have funny things thrown into the credits. I like seeing the people's names important enough to have their names in the credits, and occasionally learn something. (Ex. Flamboyant fashion designer Bob Mackie was the Original Costume Designer for Mama's Family. No, not a movie, but TV, still works.)
Now that I've shared far more than you or anyone else has wanted to read, I'll move on to answering the remaining questions you have that are still open in hopes of further rambling. (I won't, don't even know if you have any that are still ope.........)

In the movies the credits are shown to acknowledge the people that have worked for the movie....You don't get to see a short scene in most of the movies!

I try to watch the credits on anything I watch but most of the time
they either go to fast, or they shrink them down and put them to the left side of the screen while they show the up come show. I find that to be really rude of the station. I look for the names of the persons that appeared in the show.

I usually am busy still making out when the credits are rolling. But I like to come up for air at the end of them to see if there is a extra clip. I win both ways :)

I hate having to do that, actually. The longest I've waited was almost 10 to 15 minutes, after "The Matrix Reloaded" ended, just to look at scenes for "Revolutions".

Well, I certainly never see the credits of a movie if I'm in theaters but at home, sometimes I do see them.. esp. like the guy be4 me said, if there's a cool movie soundtrack I'd like to know the title and who sang it..

Master Electrician, Gaffer and Best Boy. Honestly, I've always had a facination with those two titles.
So M.E.s, Gaffers and Best Boys everywhere....no that someone reads your names.
