You can increase your intelligence.

Recent research has shown that the basis of intelligence may be a brain function called working memory. If you improve your working memory, then, you will presumably increase your intelligence, and measurements of it, such as IQ. Working memory is like the working space of the brain, the place where tools and materials are gathered to make things. To put it simply, the more you can hold, the more you can think.

the most usual way to test a man's IQ is by asking him to sit for an IQ test.

IQ questions are usually split into several sections:
1) maths and logic questions (including 3d aka spatial visualisation questions)
2) vocabulary and comprehension questions
3) general knowledge questions

the long and short of it is that you can improve your score on IQ tests by studying for it, and also by working on your weak areas.

for maths questions, it doesn't hurt to practice a few sums (usually simple multiplication and division, squares and square roots) to improve your score here. also a favourite type of question is the "which number/picture comes next" question. work on figuring out patterns to follow so that you can score on these questions.

to tackle vocabulary and comprehension questions, a good understanding of English is neccessary. get a vocabulary word book (like a GRE vocabulary book, if you can handle it) and study it. the best long-term solution, of course, is to read... read newspapers, informational magazines and a variety of fiction and non-fiction books.

for general knowledge questions, the only way to score is to broaden your knowledge and understanding in various areas... history, geography, capitals of countries, and types of animals are good areas to start exploring and discovering.

as you read and study, you'll find that your IQ score will improve over time.
