i am sick and tired of racists and just plain jerks getting away with their rude, ignorant ways. maybe we need to form our own police? what do you think?

Something needs to happen. Lots of boards have 'hosts' that monitor the threads and individual posts. I think eventually Yahoo will have to come to terms with the way this board is used. The internet is the new 'wild frontier' and it's just grown faster than anyone could have predicted, and things are moving too fast, being taken advantage of, etc. It's going to take time unfortunately. Meanwhile, kids can run completely amuck. Society will pay.

i think that is a great idea. i wish yahoo had moderators. as far as forming a police force on here... there is no way... not like any of us have power to shut up the jerks.
But maybe we should write yahoo answers and ask for moderators.

yes you can report abuse, but lol i just got reported for "Gaming for points" hahaha! who doesnt game for points? Remember that they are lots of CHILDREN on this site. And there are alot of stupid people in the world. Yahoo does take care of the people who are racists, but everyone abuses the r. A button. If you get suspended, just make up another name, and continue, thats all.I've reported only the racists people and those who make really messed up comments about women, ect, so thats al we can do for now.

No, if we report the abusers in a responsible way, and we always have the option of ignoring the intolerant and ignorant.

I agree. Plus how do we know that the "report abuse" actually works? It's not like we get a confirmation email or anything.

Don't be lame. One of the main reasons I read these stupid answers is because of the funny/rude comments.

i agree apparently it is ok for someone to leave veiled threats and harass you all night and nothing gets done, they can take personal pics from your 360 page and when you try to defend yourself you get boote, reporting abuse does nothing, if that was the case, the nutbar who is harassing me would be gone
