England select Hoggard despite hand injury
LONDON (Reuters) - England have named swing bowler Matthew Hoggard in a 13-man squad for the first test against Pakistan starting at Lord's this Thursday despite a freak accident that required six stitches in his bowling hand.

I think the doctors have said that he would be alright at time of starting of the match. Otherwise it is wrong move by the selectors.
Though having stitches, Hoggard bowled well that impressed the selectors that he can bowl. Then also he can be selected. Or else May beEngland team wants a name of a good player in the squad.
That's why he could be selected

an injured player is like a glass with hole . No matter , glass is of wich metal, water cant stay.
