That is an excellent question.! I think the reason why there can not be world peace is because every one think they are better than others, when instead every one should think of other races, culture and etc. as equals. Plus the USA is always in someone business trying to rule and dominate whats right and whats wrong. Everyone has there own way of ruling certain countries and the USA needs to respect that and maybe try to help with views ad beliefs but never try yo tell someone else how to run there country. I believe equality would make things claimer and understanding would bring peace.

For the same reason that there are fights in bars. Ever go to a bar and not see a fight of some sort? It is testosterone vs. testosterone. No one wins, there is always a fight and it never will stop! Unless women take over and figure that they never want to see the death of their offspring but that may only happen when mankind is faced with some other astronomical catastrophe on the horizon, like an alien invasion. Considering that alien invasion that may end war here on earth when we finally figure out that a combined effort is the only solution. Until then let's beat the cra...! out of one another. This is how world leaders think. There is still not one person in Iraq or Iran that I know by name that I hate enough to kill but many governments want to kill them all. Why?

The worlds weapons manufacturers, the oil industry that make it possible for us to run our war machines, and the simple need for revenge and to show we're powerful make it unlikely we'll ever be at complete peace. Even the Red Cross and other charitable orgainzations make more money when there is war.

Let's go to the root and ask why is it sometimes difficult for two people of similar background and culture to agree? Look at the most fundamental of all relationships - two people, and what do we find? Even this basic relationship is difficult, 50% of marriages for instance, end in divorce. Think of all the variables that can be factored in when you look globally, human nature, cultural differences, language differences, power struggles, fundamentally differing world views, religious differences, and on and on. The effort required to overcome these obstacles is forminable, but hopefully not impossible.
