In terms of money, really doesn't matter since I don't think that is what you are after. In terms of personal committment and patience, it may cost a lot becaues love is all about giving and not expecting anything back. mind you, despite you loving your neighbor, your neighbour not reciprocate the same love to you back. It is very easy to agree to concept of loving but could be very difficult to stick to and commit to unconditional love irrespective of how your neighbour reacts to it.

I assume you're speaking metaphorically?
Because..I don't know my literal neighbors well enough to answer that.
Everything we do, even who we are, has some cost, and some benefit..to society, ourselves, and to the world.
I love some of my neighbors, and am quite neutral about a majority of my neighbors. I even admit to disliking a few of my neighbors as well..but only a few.

my neighbors are rednecks! They make it hard to love them because they are always stirring up trouble for someone. I love neighbors that aren't nosy!
