Go to Lowes or Home Depot and buy a wallpaper scorer and wallpaper remover solution. You score the wallpaper (using a circular motion), wet it down with the wallpaper remover solution, wait 10 to 20 minutes and scrape with a scraper. It comes off very easily if you left if soak long enough.

The quickets way is to score the wallpaper with something like the Zinsser Paper Tiger® Scoring Tool which you can buy at home improvement stores. Then you make a mixture of fabric softener and water and use a spray bottle to wet the wall paper. You can also make a mixture of vinegar and warm water.

If you don't want to go to the trouble of removing the paper you can also get a great primer that will cover the wallpaper and allow you to paint the walls any color you want.

Steamers are great! You can also use warm soapy water and a sponge. Just add your dish soap to warm water like you would to do dishes. Then sponge it on to the wall. I place plastic drop clothes and a large towel at the base of the wall to catch the water. The wall paper will absorb the water and the soap will cut the wallpaper paste so it falls right off the wall. No scrapping needed. Good luck and enjoy the new look!!!

Hi in Australia we have a product called sugar soap, it is mixed with warm to hot water and will disolve the glue. Depending on the age of the paper, try using just really hot water (oviously with good waterproof gloves) and a sponge. Let itsoak in and try peeling in the direction on the paper to remove in a sheet, you may only get the top sheet off, and in this case, follow the procedure again, but make certain that the paper has been thoroughly soaked. Hope this helps.

Try peeling it from the corner and see if it is strippable, you might need a wet sponge to finish removing the glue. If not, buy a sponge and wallpaper stripper and soak the wallpaper until it peels off. Most are strippable, though.

Steamers are by far the best way and the quickest, you can get them cheap enough at the big DIY stores and you will find that it is a great investment. You will do the job in a fraction of the time it takes to remove the paper any other way.

There is a roller with spines on it that you roll over the paper to perferate it. You then spray a chemical on it that loosens the glue and in a matter of minutes it pulls off the wall.

Seen it on DIY home shows, This Old House, HomeTime, all of them use it and works well.

Check with Lowe's or Home Depot for more help and illustrated flyers.

Get a steamer (like the scuncci one), and try to steam it off at the seams. MUCH faster than almost anything else.

There's a product called DIF - you mix it with water and spray it on, let it settle (15 minutes) and then scrape it off. Works rather well.
