It's sheer posterbation. Self Affirmation.

Of course there will always be a large percentage of internet users who will flock to these celebrity questions as if they were asked by Gods. These users deserve to have their Myspace accounts terminated and their computers donated to Goodwill.

I don't mind if a lot of users flock to celebrity questions. That's the audience that keeps this site running and allows the staff to continue working on improvements.

Fortunately, the Ask the Planet promotion is over now, so you probably won't see as many celebrities around for a while. Yet I'm still hoping some of those other answerers stuck around because they just might have the answers to some of my questions. :)

I LOVE your question, but at the same time, if stupid people are allowed to ask questions, I don't see the harm in letting celebrities do the same. There are so many incredibly dumb questions asked all the time that it's almost refreshing to see people flock to the idealistic crap the celebrities dish out. i agree, i've never answered a celebrities question. and i probably never will. whenever i see that 30,000 ppl have answered it, i ask myself..."what are the chances someone is actually reading my response?".....slim to none.

how can we stop them? we can't i'm afraid.

Ignore them and don't answer their questions. They will realize that nobody is interested and they will go away.
